Don Toliver’s album, Heaven or Hell, is one of my favorite albums of 2020, and the record’s leading single, “No Idea,” made such an impact on me that I released a my own version. This recording was a departure from my usual acoustic style, trading in my guitar for synths, drum samples, and vocal effects.
