The work consists of six individual, unsynchronized parts. All instrumental parts contain only six pitches. The vocal part has one pitch for each syllable. The pitches are to be held for “semi-long to extremely long durations”, with an indeterminate amount of space in between. In the case of the vocal line, individual words have their pitches strung together without spaces between the syllables. The overall pace of the work is “very slow”. Dynamics range from pp to mp. All parts are senza vibrato. The duration of the work is implicitly indeterminate.
