No. 85 in the 100 Poems project.
A setting of the eponymous poem by E. E. Cummings.
This work is broken into 9 sections: each of the four stanzas spoken with piano accompaniment, plus an introduction, conclusion, and three intervening interludes between the four spoken stanzas, all of which are written for the piano solo. The piano’s material is based on two motifs, one each for the solo sections and piano accompaniments.
